Consultations

Consultations with care team workers, or what is known as secondary consultations, are an essential focus of our services. They provide the opportunity for workers and carers to better understand the dynamics involved in the support and care of infants, children and young people.

Secondary consultations are available on a regular or ad hoc basis.

Regular secondary consultations are:

  • tailored to individual agency requirements

For instance, monthly meetings can be arranged to discuss cases or particular themes, for example, trauma attachment, grief and loss, or understanding and managing difficult behaviours.

Ad hoc secondary consultations are:

  • considered case by case

For instance, we can provide timely intervention when a worker or carer is overwhelmed by a child or young person’s presentation.

Services include:

  • secondary consultations with carers, residential workers and lead tenants
  • organisational issues
  • agency program development
