Start was established to provide innovative and specialist consultancy and training responses to government and non-government agencies working with infants, children and adolescents in the out of home or alternative care sector within the North and West Metropolitan Region of Melbourne.

Start is auspiced by Australian Childhood Trauma Group and funded through the Department of Human Services Placement and Support North and Western Metropolitan Region.
